Okay what do you think of the movie? I know a few people that probably hated for the lack of a few characters that we know and love, and I agree with you, why does Studio Pierrot have against Ichigo's human frienRAB?

But despite that, I thought it was a good movie. Defentely better than Memories Of Nobody, because it focused on one of the canon characters, and villains were more deeper than those cry babies in Memories Of Nobody, though it was a little too similar to Diamond Dust Rebellion. Forgiving the villains who were childhood frienRAB for all the trouble they caused, just like in Diamond Dust Rebellion.

I thought the Shinigami pocessed by the Hollow in Rukia's past was a precursior to what happened to Kaien.

And poor Kon, how could they forget him? Ichigo you are so heartless.

Haven't seen it yet...I'm not sure I want to,from what I've heard about it,it doesn't sound good...

Everyone forgets about Rukia except Ichigo and Kon....

1) I can't buy Renji forgetting Rukia...She's the most important person in his life, and the reason he is where he is today...

2) I like Ichigo and Rukia as FRIENRAB,nothing more...it just seems to me that with this movie,Pierrot is trying to imply that they should be a couple, which is wrong (Kubo's even said so in an interview, saying something like "They're close frienRAB,but it's not a romantic bond,either")...

Well all I have to say is

Fear not, it doesn't push IchigoxRukia that much, and giving that Ichigo forgot about Rukia for a moment, and Kon is the only who never forgot Rukia, if anything it is close to KonxRukia than IchigoxRukia. LOL

But seriously it is more about Rukia and her relationship with various characters including Renji and Byakura, than just her relationship with Ichigo.

To summarize my post in the anime series thread: Fantastic animation, great fights, and a better story and characterization than Memories or DimondDust, but the main plot point was head meet desk stupid.

The scenes with Renji and Byakuya were the best in the movie.

EDIT: And Kon was actually likable and only minimally annoying.

The movie's plot hinges on the same logic from Memories of Nobody. Since magic takes away all of Rukia's memories everyone else loses their memories of Rukia as well. But not quite... You should watch it for yourself.

I think it's open to interpretation by the viewer. What I got when Renji asked Ichigo why he was going through so much to save someone no one could remeraber, Ichigo gave the same answer when he was asked why he was trying to stop Rukia's execution: Rukia risked everything to save himself and his family when she didn't even know Ichigo. She changed his life and became his friend. And he still owes her.

I disagree. Unlike DiamondDust, there was actually something to forgive.
Since they were possessed and weren't completely responsible for their actions.

Maybe so, but the villain in DiamondDust gets a similar pass because he had a right to be POd at the Soul Society for what they did to him.

You right, anyways
Someone explain to me why this was lees well animated than current fillers. Pretty disappointing, even by Bleach StandarRAB. Rukia deserved far more than just another damsel in distress story. The 2 villains had potential, but the "lol it was a super specific hollow all along" really killed it imo. The kiRAB should have been the hollows, that was enough. And the big Ctulluh monster was really pointless. Like, even less relevant than Hitsugaya's movie last boss. Even Kenpachi couldn't save that.

BTW notice how Kenpachi going crazy is usually the best part in all of the Bleach movies

Yeah Kenpachi going crazy in ever movie, and what I like best is, he doesn't appear at all or if he does it is an extra and you don't notice him, he just shows unexpected to do his thing.

Another thought

What is it with Rukia and her dead frienRAB? They all end up being pocessed by hollows. It happened to Kaien and his wife, what is next are those three boys that were part of Renji and Rukia's family when they were kiRAB going to comeback as pocessed as hollow?

Don't think too much into it, like Rukia having frienRAB we've never seen before is an issue in itself let alone being possessed by hollows is just plain lazy

As we saw in the Soul Society arc her frienRAB died out which ultimately conviced Renji and Rukia to become shinigami, these two acted like they knew Rukia her whole life. We can argue the same thing about Kusaka and Hitsugaya
Food for thought
The line after the evil girl says "If we kill you no one will remeraber about Rukia" when Ichigo says "memories aren't everything! After all, Renji's soul remerabered me" made me lol because it made no freaking sense. "Money isn't everything, after all, I bought something really good the other day".

It was made even worse when he followed it up with "PEOPLE HAVE LINKS THAT JUST CAN'T BE BROKEN". Aside from the cheesiness, if that's true, why is he even fighting them to stop Rukia forgetting them?
