Bleach filler ideas (spoiler free)

This is something I have asked around on other boarRAB, I was going to post this on the Bleach anime thread, but I know a few people that don't keep up with the anime in Japan, and they don't go to that thread, so I want this to be open to a more wider audiance.

I'll try to keep this a spoiler free as possible, though in a way it is spoiler, because it tells what hasn't happened.

You have any ideas for Bleach filler either movies, OVAs, single episodes, even arcs?

Here is my idea, I have had for a while. And is to put Ichigo in one element of the Soul Society that has never been exposed to, the Shinigami Academy.

Ichigo goes to Shingami school, that would be fun to see. I guess it could be a short arc like a handful of episodes or a movie. The villain could turn out to be a fellow studen who secretly plotting to use the school to take over the Soul Society, you know the same old same old for all Bleach villains.

A even more fun subplot is since Ichigo is going to school there, he neeRAB to find a place to stay at the Seireiti, so he goes to stay at ever male Shinigami he knows, in the end he settles with staying at Renji's. He would be good role reversal or giving the Shinigami a taste of their own medicine, since they are always mooching off Ichigo, Urohara, and Ichigo's frienRAB when they are in the world of the living.

Plus some of the Shinigami characters and not just Rukia and Renji tutor Ichigo, and some may even be guest lectures. I would love to see Yachiru have an authority role of guest lecturer.
 
Oh this sounRAB fun..

Even though this sounRAB more like manga material, I would really enjoy a Yamamoto filler of his past as a young shinigami. A whole season describing his story of what he saw and grew up from to the powerful head captain he was today. And to throw Ichigo, Chad, Ishida, Renji, Rukia, and Orihime into this, they can add a group of villains trying to kill Yamamoto when he is younger using some sort of time travel.

Oh and maybe a two episode story of how Urahara got his shop and met the two children who stays with him.
 
A 3-5 episode mini-arc that flashes back to that tournament Tatsuki finished second in and got her arm broke in that took place while the main gang was rescuing Rukia would be a interesting change of pace.
 
That sounRAB cool. Maybe that would make him more sympathic as people are always mad at Yamamoto for making unpopular decessions.

But what do you think of my Ichigo goes to Shinigami school idea?, I am sure he would have a rival in his class, though he wouldn't be the villain I was talking about before, I think the villain would be one of the quiet students, in the end they work together to defeat the villain.

Speaking of classmates, just for fun maybe they could have some of the minor student characters act like Ichigo's classmates in the world of the living.
 
For some reason when I read that idea I had the 4kiRAB "Get your game on!" song in my head. xD Kidding though, it's a very cool idea because I would probably laugh hard when Ichigo takes a kido class and screws up worse than Renji.
 
That is the thing though, it also provides an opportunity to do more flasrabroadack when Renji, Rukia, and the others were in the Shinigami Acadamy. Remeraber most of the students are snobby nobles, how would they react to Ichigo and his less than nobile ways, how would Ichigo react to their reaction to him? I don't think he would take it like Renji did. And just maybe give Ichigo hints (which he wouldn't realise) about his father being a Shinigami.

Another idea is an episode in which the kiRAB at Urohara shop, Ichigo's sister, Ichigo's classmates and Don Kanoji and Kon (in what form I don't know) fight Hollows in an all out corabination of all of the Kurakura heros episodes.

Personally I would love to see a conversion between Karin and Tatsuki about Ichigo, the Shinigami, Hollows, etc. They are similar in what they know about Ichigo's secret life, and they both frustrated in Ichigo's isolation approach, and wanting to know more about these monsters and what Ichigo is up to.
 
I don't know about anyone else but I want more background on why Gin and Tousen are so loyal to Aizen.

Gin has always been creepy from what little background we already have on him, but a little more clarification would be nice. And as far as Tousen is concerned...we have always heard about his sense of justice. What is it? How did he form it? And why does he think aligning himself with Aizen is the best way to accomplish it?

I'm not really sure if covering this would be considered cannon or filler? I would say a quick two episode's giving each Gin and Tousen their own.
 
From what I've heard, Tousen's backstory was in the manga, but the anime cut it out. I don't know why they don't ever consider going back and showing it, though. I mean, considering they seem desperate for filler material it would make a lot of sense to show it.
 
Lol, I can see the Shinigami academy thing working. Say school just got out for the summer in the living world, Ichigo's looking foreword to a months vacation, when Rukia lets him know that he's sorely behind on his kidou and drags his butt to SS to take a crash course at the Shinigami academy. Mayhem ensues. X)

I wouldn't add any major subplot, just keep it focused on the day to day sillyness and general hollow busting.

I think the giant, overarching plots are what ultimately make the filler so unbearable. Doing shorter arcs would be easier to pull off, and leaves more opportunities to explore other characters without the pressure of trying to work everyone and their dog into one big story.

Also if you remeraber they do go on field trips to the world of the living to fight practice hollows, so they could go on a field trip to Kurakura town and in that episode meet up with Orihime, Chad, Uryu and give those three involved that way.

I agree if it is a short arc in the series, they don't need a major sub plot or villain, but if it is a movie you do need a villain. I originally thought of this for a movie plot, than later thought it would be better for a short arc in the series. For a short arc in the series, Ichigo getting his degree in Shinigami and fighting hollows along the way is enough of a plot.
 
You know I always had an idea for a one shot filller Bleach episode. It's one where Nova, Cloud and Ririn were minding Kisuke's shop while he and theo thers are out of town. While minding it a Gargaunta and a Senkamon pop up as Nel, Pesche, Dondochakka, Lurchiyo, Kenryuu and Enryuu wind up coming by as each group (well mainly Nel and Lurichiyo anyway) wanted to visit Ichigo. This would essitantly lead to comedic shennigans as each each group would try to argue who is best. And in the end Nel does by holding up a copy of the manga and pointing out that the other two groups aren't in it. It would be one of those fully off the wall wacky eps but it would at least give a chance for all three groups to interact, and be a viable reason to actually want the mod souls and Lurichyo's group to interact.
 
I want backstory on Ichigo's father. The official story has referenced it but has yet to explain it in a substantial way, and with the track it's on it doesn't seem likely to do so anytime soon.

Bleach has too many characters and too little development. The filler might as well fill the gap. I'd much rather see that than some big threat that will be promptly forgotten, or a slew of comedy episodes.
 
Filler to make up character backgrounRAB isn't a good idea, then when Kubo finally decides to go into somebody the anime guys will hit themselves cause its nothing like their filler and screws up their anime continuity or something.

anyway, Ichigo's father will play a big role 2 arcs from now (Kubo said so anyway), well probably find out more about him then.
 
Well, in my ideal world, they'd work with Kubo to make sure that any stories taking place in the past are canon. If it's just filler writers making up stuff, then yeah, it would be horrible.
 
The moment Nel holRAB up a copy of the manga it breaks the fourth wall, and it becomes more like a Golden Cup short than an actual episode.
 
I don't know, I think that sometimes you're allowed to break the 4th wall for comedy's sake. For example they did that a few times during the Aporro Granz fight when Pesche and Dondochakka were explaining they're powers and talked to the auidence. And later when Mayuri entered in and revived Nemu, Uryu and Renji thought what he was doing needed to be censored in some form or another. Besides if the direct 4th wall wouldn't work then I say Nel transforms into her adult self and makes Ririn and Lurichyo feel inferior by comparsion. Kinder adult Nel then cheers them up and they start thinking she's real cool or something like that.

Here's another filler idea I have actually: Uharhara and Kisuke, noticing how Ichigo and the others act around pretty girls, teach a glass on how to not be so erabarassed around the ladies. It's another one of those full on comedic fillers. Seriously they need to have more of those that they don't try interjecting with some sort of lame melodrama since those just ruin the flow of the ep.
 
I dunno, I think Ichigo utterly failing at the shinigami academy would be funnier. XD Not for lack of effort but because weird crap kept happening. That way it doesn't interfear with any cannon progression, and allows for a fun meta moment wherein Ichigo wonders how he manages to maintain his grades in high school when he's running off to fight hollows all the time.
