Blazer Web Browser causes soft reset before opening

I cannot open Blazer (web Browser)....it crashes before opening. I can cure the problem by deleting all of the Blazer data files (cache, cookies, history, bookmarks, autofill). It works for a while, then later....same problem....same cure. I assume some of these files are becoming corrupt. Is that a correct assumption? Or, is it possible to lock Blazer with Rosco Locker? I'd try it, but I can't find the Blazer application in the list of files (in McFile or RLocker). Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jim

At a guess, I suspect that you have Blazer set to open with the last web page visited. When Blazer crashes due to a page problem (too big for the cache, too many images, etc) the next time you try to open it, the page that causes the problems is opened and it crashes. I'd suggest changing the default action to open either your home page or a blank page if this is the case...

Thanks, Elbowz, but that did not cure the problem. It's frustrating, because I bought the TX to be able to browse the internet.
Thanks again,
Jim

I've not used the latest version of Blazer, but on Web Pro there is an option to clear the cache on exit, if there is a similar option for Blazer you could try enabling it.

The other options that spring to mind are to disable Javascript and reject cookies, but that will limit your ability to get to all websites.

Can you force the crash to happen, by revisiting the same website after clearing the offending files?

I will try playing with those things. I reinstalled the Palm software on my PC and synched the handheld, hoping this would reinstall Blazer on the handheld (I hope?), but did not preceed this with a hard reset (hoping to avoid this). So far so good...Blazer has opened without a crash. But I'll keep playing with it.
Jim
