My son has been having mild headaches and blanked out. It was only for a few seconds though. He hit the sofa as he was going down so it broke the fall and injured his mouth. What could be the problem?

Could be any amount of things.. Circulation, lungs, brain, does he have any conditions or history of any problems?

No, he does not have any history of any kind or any sort!
cassie30: How old is your son? It sounds like he might be having seizures. He might need to get an MRI, EEG and Cat Scan to see if there's anything going on in his head.
Is he on any meds? Have you spoken to your primary doctor about this? He may want you to have him seen by a neurologist who can do these tests and see what's going on.
Does he use alot of computer/video games, use a cell phone, play games like nintendo?
all of these could cause disturbances in the brain. It's the electromagnetic fields and images that make the brain go haywire. I would also check to make sure that he doesn't have any blood sugar problems. And with all the flu that's going around be careful that that isn't part of this either.
