I remember when I first saw it late at night years ago, I found it made me a bit nervous and thats about it. I always thought it was based on some sort of truth in terms of there was a woman who years ago killed several children, maybe im wrong but i read this a while ago.
the blair witch 2 was more of what a scary movie should be, rather than people going round with cameras trying to act and do a stupid documentary.

lol, It was the most crap film I ever paid to see I must say, and I saw it when it just came out with all the hype -absolute waste of time!

BWP has great verisimilitude. Each time I watch it, it feels like watching real events, even though they obviously aren't. I rate it. Terrific editing job.
The mock-docu on the DVD "Curse of the Blair Witch" is well worth a watch, and probably cost many times the movie to make.

I think BW is one of the scariest horror films ever. I didn't believe it was a true story for a second but it sucks you in with it's great atmosphere.
If people dont find it scary, well done them; but i would be interested to learn what they do find scary. People often say "horror movies don't scare me, im some super alpha male" but doesn't that making watching a horror movie a bit pointless?
