I want to say that the reason is due to Whistler (abraham), as probably one of the very few people he was ever close to, his father figure, Blade removed himself emotionally from the newbies asnot wanting to suffer another loss. Being the strong silent type, it only added to that brooding Blade we all love.

One thing i loved about this movie, was they didn't try to make Abby and Hannibal do more than they are capable of, or rather Jessica and Ryan. As it seemed the "bloodpack" from Blade II took itself too seriously, The Nightstalkers seemed reliant on sneak attacks and just run and go tactics. More believable. One of my first comments was thanking them for redoing the Jessica Biel fight scene that was on the website. A major step up in the movie, and given her character, more doable and less lacking. Still not outstanding by any stretch.

The baddie Vampires were a big disappointment. Danica was fake, Hunter was the "Quint" from Blade I, the laughable gets ass kicked the whole movie sidekick, Drake was lacking all sorts of presense. All we see him do is run from Blade, eat a goth chick then get beat down. Fight scenewise, Deacon Frost and Jared Nomak put up a much greater challenge it would seem.

Blade himself, seemed to personify The Cool. Especially during the rescue, he just seemed to be a Pimp walking the halls of his favorite whorehouse. Making Whistler and King do all the work, then going back for his sword.

Sad to see the Charger getting jacked up, almost brought a tear to my eye.

Music, i bought the CD on the ride home, done by my boy, The Rza of the Wu-Tang Clan. Solid tracks, the always present Crystal Method track.

Favorite quote
Police Chief "They'll f-ing kill me!"
Blade "Mutha F-ckah, I'll]/i] f-ing kill you"

overall, i give it a solid B, i'll see it a couple more times with other people. About on par with Blade 2, get lost in action for an hour and 45 minutes. Have fun, don't take stuff too seriously.

END TRANS

I absolutely loved this movie! Ryan Reynolds was so hot and funny, Jessica Biel was awesome and Dominic Purcell was just good! ;)

how come his name wasn't mentioned in the cast? :look: unless he plays a minor villian but his name is big when it comes to WWE...so it should be good for them.

Blade was a classic in that it wasn't meant to cash in on the comic book movie craze. In fct, it is one of the movies that helped START IT.

If all comic book movies were done like blade -- as actual stories and not trying to appeal to comic book fans -- Then movies like "The Hulk" would actually be good

I thought the second one was lacking as well.

I thought the plot didn't make any sense -- kind of like "Underworld" -- And the fact that I hate how because it is 2004, Vampires and other mythical creatures existence has to be explained by science... Such as the Vampire's bite containing a virus and other "real world" stuff like that

"Trinity" looks interesting for the sheer fact that this one generally seems to be a continuation of the story (even if it is a final chapter) and not just a "for money" sequel.

RE: Jessica Biel...

She's what is known in the biz as "a climber".

All she wants to do is "climb" to the next level of (what she percieves) fame and fortune... But it will never be enough once she gets there... So, she'll keep climbing.

She only signed on for TCM because she knew it had a huge cult following and wanted the association of it on her resume. Nothing more. I get the feeling she thinks those kinds of films are "beneath her" and that she is "paying her dues"...

When tons of actresses like Jaimie Lee Curti, Sigourney Weaver, Neve Campbell and others have made their entire careers off "those" kinds of films and they embrace it and use it to their advantage in the long run to do other things.

I saw Blade: Trinity yesterday and i have to say that it was better than i thought it would be. It`s just a kickass action movie and a nice progression from the previous two movies. I thought that Ryan Reynolds was a great addition. He really stole the show. Hannibal was hilarous. In fact i love that there was more humor in it to balance out the darkness in the movie. Jessica Biel was better than i thought she would be. She really pulled off the role very good. The only negative about it was the music. I wasn`t too crazy about it. I think that they should`ve went more to a hard rock/metal sound for it. Anyway i would have to give Blade: Trinity a rating of *** out of ****. It was a very good movie, but not quite as good as Blade 2.

Ah, that blows. I likes the romance in action movies. ;)

But yeah, I still want to see the movie though I don't really have high hopes at all. Basically now I just want to see it for Ryan Reynolds.

I cant view them cause I dont have an account will sign on though thanks for the links :D

I agree after having to putting on a a fake smile last Oct when the TCM premiered.
She so sucks in horror the worst ever.
It would be sad that she will now destroy this vampire triology

(Yep that's right I can't spell right now)

True... But to me, anyway... It wasn't even emphasized that much considering it was almost a given that Hanibal and Danica were an item -- If you can even call it that considering she treated him like crap... Actually, less-than-crap and like her "blood sucking cabana boy" ;)

i have both Blade movies on VHS. i would have to say that i liked the second film more than the first...'cause of the romance tied to it. :D and the ending was sad.

anyways..wow..the trailer for Trinity looks wicked. Jessica has some cool outfit on. :D

I plan to see this sometime this month, maybe over Christmas with my friend because I know he'd like it...but I'm not expecting to like it much, especially based on what's been said here.

My favorite is the first one, and while I thought the second was decent, I didn't think it was nearly as good as the first. I love good action, but I don't know...IMO, a good plot and good characters would be nice too.

Timeo oh that's better yet. I bet the CGI on this one will be cake compared to Alien vs Predator

Blade II went ahead with a story knowing that Blade I did all the work the right way as far as introductions were concerned. I liked the story and the way it was directed, the plot was treated like it really mattered. Not all horror/sci fi movies go all the way with the plots/subplots sacrifying them for the visual. Blade II blended everything as best as it could. Plus, I really loved the "reapers".

I still like the first one better of course. It was less fancy and more fun.

I'm hoping Trinity has a mix of both movies.... Fancy cool yet raw.

Nein. From what I remember, the movie is filmed already, and most of everything's been done already. From now until December, they're just working on very small things for CGI etc, making it look as good as possible and what not. In fact they had had enough time to even finish it to go head to head against AVP (Alien Vs. Predator) but New Line didn't want that direct competition for essentially the same market.

The first movie was damn cool (though the TV-edited version of it sucked ass) but the second one was a disappointment in comparison. The villian neither exuded coolness nor did the plot really make any coherent sense. Despite this, I think I'll be watching the third one just because it looks kinda interesting. Though Dominic Purcell (playing Dracula) apparently isn't that convincing in the role.......ai.

I wouldn't quite say that. There was something somewhat disturbing in the past between two characters in the movies.
