Blade Runner - The Final Cut

i think this is getting a cinema release on 23rd Nov a couple of weeks before the 100-disc dvd release

it is well worth catching on the big screen

Just bought the 5 disk version of this today. Not checked it yet, at work. Anyone else acquired it.

Should be getting the Blu Ray version for Christmas, Santa permitting. Hope they've done a good picture transfer.

The 5 disk set is currently on my desk, mocking me with its shrink-wrapped and in the office status.

Yeah, dropped through my letter box this morning. In a tin for some reason, with vast amounts of packaging, five discs and a strange thing you look at and move around showing H. Ford waving a gun about. Will watch the main new version on Saturday night (unless I get over-ruled and we watch Shrek 3 instead).

I got my fiance the 5 disc tin version from Santa. I thought I had just bought the normal edition but I think it has carRAB and a cell from the movie. He is a big Blade Runner fan so I think this is a must for any fan!!

It's some years since I watched the 'Director's Cut' so can't be sure; but nothing obvious jumped out.

That's what I thought. A frame snipped here and a frame added there and that makes it the final cut. Perhaps all those semi-mythical missing scenes really did never get filmed after all.

The scene where Zhora goes through all the glass panes is clearly different as theres footage in the extras of them filming that scene again in front of a green screen in april 2007.

There are probably more differences but I didn't notice 'em.

Yes we have, Mr Satellite bought it a week or so ago as he's a huge Blade Runner fan. It's excellent, has my favourite version (the original voice-over one) with the bestest ending of them all.

I never did take to the Directors cut, mainly because the voice-over was removed. But it is such an excellent film, never ever dates at all.
