Blade Runner Blu-Ray Worth Getting?

Never seen the film before but heard both the film and Blu-Ray is amazing. Is it worth buying?

I got a DVD tin from hmv.com for 2.99 I think, with 5 different cuts (ultimate edition I think). Pretty good quality DVD

i've seen the final cut blu-ray on sale for 9.99

Film is not bad. Possibly not as great as it's made out ot be, but interesting enough.

It is a highly visual film both known for its special effects (pre cg) and artistic lighting. So yes, bluray is excellent.

There was a 5 disc dvd boxset , a suitcase dvd set (I think that ws R1 only) and a 5 disc Bluray set (region free US Bluray).
So no need to wait.

I've tried so many times over the years to watch this film.
I still find it visually stunning but struggle to stay awake as it's very boring.

i cant quite grasp Blade Runner. you either love it or hate - no inbetween. a lot like Marmite.
i first saw it when i was 14, the 1992 cut, and just never liked it.
Never cared for it since, but a mate bought me that tin box (which i beleived was rare, but seems it can be picked up for pennies now) in 2007 - and i watched it again with my mature eyes.
and i still dont like it!!! I also expected a 3 hours epic and its only 1hr 20mins.

Not really a fan.

If you want it so much, i would wait till that BD boxset is really cheap, and then get it. or rent it first and decide.

That is a bargain cheapest I found it was from an independent seller for a tenner. 2.99 is fantastic especially when you bought it from HMV normally rips you off compared to other places.
