I am basically looking for a phone that will replace/supplement my ipod (conversion to headphone jack is nice) with the ability to surf/email and modify/customize pretty easily since i'm a noob at this stuff. I got screwed on my last phone and really want something that will hopefully be technologically useful until the end of my 2yr contract as well. I don't have problems ever with signal with a razr, but i would also like to keep it that way. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

All of those Phones are nice..I would choose the BlackJack because of 3G if ur market has it then its good..but so does the 8525....It really comes down to features that the BlackJack and the 3125 are just smartphones..While the other two are more like a PC...
I personally would choose the BlackJack because of its size its very thin and the 8525 is very bulky...If i was you i would go to a Cingular store and try them out and see which one you like..but i would choose the BJ..

I did really like the blackjack and the price compared to the rest, however i don't think it supports mini usb. The only reason i mention this is because the only headphone jack converter i know works off of mini usb. I know that you can always get bluetooth headphones, but i need a way to play it in my car and i already have the ipod transmitter. If it wasn't for that i think i would be all over the blackjack.

I believe the BJ comes with headphones. It is a proprietary connector however.

Keep in mind, if your requirement is to edit Word/Excel files, the BJ won't do it. Its a smartphone and can read, but not edit.

Also, battery life is terrible. It wil be even more so if you use it for music as well as a phone/email/PIM.

Yea the proprietary connector will not work with my transmitter without and adapter (not sure if they make one or not). I don't really need to edit any word doc's nor would I even looks at them. What kinda battery life should I be expecting with good usage I.E. surfing, videos, music ? The 8525 seems pretty sweet but i just don't want to pay an extra 100 dollars for it if the BJ will do the same stuff.

Battery life really depends on how much you use it, how your email is pulled, whether you are in a 3G fringe area or not. Could be all day, could be a few hours. Hard to say.
