Blackberry storm 9530 vs Iphone 3G ( yes i know they are old )

My girlfriend is interested in one of these phones ( i have a storm ) for her new phone. She wont do much surfing, just texting and calling. and MAYBE some messaging to her friends and i. but for now she just wants a basic plan ( either phone, we are buying one thats unlocked ) so she can use it as a pay as you go phone.

i know the storm had many kinks in the software when it first came out ( most of them have been corrected ) but i think the idea of having to add in NON oem software to tilt the iphone side ways to type sideways SUCKS ( well for me at least ) and the camera is mostly a Fail. but help me convince my girlfriend which one is better ( hopefully a BB ) so i can BBM her :P
 
eh doesnt matter about the carrier, i just want you guys to tell my girlfriend which is better :P personally i prefer the BB storm
 
BB storm has nothing on the iPhone. The Storm has many issues with lag and freezing. I remember when my friend first got the Storm when it was just released. There were so many problems with apps and lag, he was fed up with it.

I've had the iPhone 3G, not 3Gs, and it hasn't given me any problems yet. I replaced the 3G with a Galaxy S phone just a couple of months ago and I actually kind of miss my old iPhone.

Sure, the 3G has some lag issues, but common it is an old phone. Speed wise, both the phones should be similar. Usability, I would go with the iPhone 3G, along with many other reasons listed above.
