BlackBerry Question: E62

I installed the BlackBerry in my E62, but, cannot find the mailbox. I see the Blackberry icon, but where is the mailbox?

This is what I did:

1. After installing, I go to Messaging > Options > Settings > E-mail, and set Default Mailbox to Blackberry and the Blackberry settings to ?ON?. I restart the phone.

2. After restart, I see the Blackberry icon showing that I?m connected. But I don?t even see a Mailbox on my start screen! I go to create a new message, and it says ?No mailbox defined? and asks me to set up a mailbox with either POP or IMAP! Do I need to do something with the email setup wizard or something?

I have not yet installed the Nokia PC Suite+Blackberry in my desktop. Is this the reason for not seeing the mailbox?

Our IT will take a few days to configure my account in BES. I will install the PC suite as soon as my account is configured in BES. But, before that, I think something is not going right in my phone. Anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks for the help,

Hi Pilsnerz,

Worked like a charm Thank you so much. Great help

So, I setup a new [email protected] account. Is there a web access to the emails I send to this address? I cannot find a link to "Inbox" or "Send" folders in BlackBerry website. Where do they save the mails?

Also, I added my corporate email address. It became a new mailbox, and I can send email via the corporate server (MS Exchange). But, of course, I cannot retrive or receive email in the handset now.

One last question: Can I change the mailbox names? By default, they are the email addresses (big). Can I customize them? If I change it in Handheld, then do I need to change it in Blackberry website? How?

Thanks again for your help. I am new in Blackberry, and I didn't know about the website setup. Cingular never told me about this!
