Blackberry/PDA Recommendation?

Hi everyone,
I have been a customer of Cingular for awhile, but their antics forced me to quit. I went and joined w/ Nextel with te 7800i Blackberry and it was very nice - however Nextels $40 Plan+ $50 blackberry plan wasnt too nice. I am considering cancelling with Nextel (First 30 Days) and going with Tmobile, however I am wondering about their phones.

I am just getting into the professional field where a blackberry/pda would be a good investment.
Main features Id like in the phone:
LOUD (I work in a noisy environment)
Very customizable
Efficient email/text messaging - internet usage is no importance to me.
Also, the ability to synchronize at least my contacts with my MAC would be very important.

If anyone can recommend a phone thru TMobile (or another large carrier) would be greatly appreciated. I will spend most of my time in Orlando, Atlanta, and Houston, TX but I do some traveling throughout the US. Any other advice on Phones+Plans would be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

Go back to Cingular and tell them you only want a 1 year contract. Though if you really can't deal with us...I understand... but I would like to apologize, we are getting better and starting to grow a heart, honestly we are. But If you have a Mac, I recommend either a Palm or Blackberry. I love the dash but doesn't sync well with the Mac and don't even go with Windows Mobile 5 or 6 phones, terrible terrible. BlackJack is ok, though battery life is poor(though has 3G, but for email you don't need that) But again syncing with the Mac, is terrible, plus it's not loud enough for me. I would say either a BB Pearl, Palm Treo 750 or BB 8800

thanks for the info, i might give them another shot - but idk..what are the main differences between blackberry and palm? the blackberry i had was very customzable and it synced ok with my apple (w/ pocketmac for blackberry)..how is the loudness compared on each brand? i know tmobile has $59 plan for 1000min and unlimited email/internet which seems to be a REALLY good deal..nextel wants $80 for 300min and unlimited..any other providers i should look at that have good blackberry plans and coverage?

thanks!

I think I am pretty set on going with Tmobile (as much as I hate to lose my Nextel Walkie Talkie ) as I have heard good things - plus I dont think anyone beats their $59 for 1000min and unlimited data plan...most want ~$49 just for data..

My main questions now are..

Pearl or 8700G?

I know the 8700 has a full keyboard and is larger, but what else?

How is the loudness of these phones?

And lastly, is there anything wron with signing up thru a place like LetsTalk.com where they claim I can get the Pearl for Cheap/free for new activation? Any comments would be great!

Thanks a bunch guys

I have an 8703 E (verizon version), and the loudness is incredible - I actually have to LOWER the volume of the incoming calls!! I don't know much about the pearl, but I have heard good things!

You really need to look at T-Mobile's coverage and were you will use the phone and make sure you will have the coverage you need it. That was probably why someone recommended going back to Cingular as they have the best GSM network coverage in the US.

verizon really isnt in ther unning since the cheapest plan they have is $79 for blackberry...

tmobile coverage looked fine in my three main areas i spend the most time in: orlando, houston, atlanta..

my main question is how LOUD are the pearl and the 8700 blackberrys on tmobile? I think I can get the pearl free-$50 or the 8700 for ~$100-150 thru company discount so those are my two main choices unless someone influences me otherwise!

thanks guys!
