I am up for a new phone, which would be the better choice?

Also, I am already paying for data, texting, and picture messaging. To get a blackberry, it would only cost $5 more a month, and I am alright with that
I have one more question for those with Blackberry Curve experience: Does it have a 'chat feature' for texting? like does it show the back-and-forth messages?
