When people call me and they're on a Blackberry Curve, I can hear them great for about 20 seconds, then the volume drops way down, like almost inaudible for 20 seconds, then it comes back for 20, etc. I thought maybe the people calling had avr (automatic voice recognition) turned on, but they don't, I checked. Does cellular transmission have a 20 second wave flow or something similar that might cause this? It's very frustrating to ask them to repeat themselves over and over. It doesn't seem to happen with other cell phones. The carrier is AT&T on the phones I know about.
