blackberry curve keyboard not working?

I have a blackberry curve. I just updated it's software, and then about an hour later, the keyboard stopped working, like when i push the left side button, it types "l" and when i push the delete button it types "jk" is there anyyyyway i can fix this? most forums say that it's a sign of water damage but it hasn't gotten wet!
