Blackberry App world nightmare + Tmo Fives on 9700

Hi,

I updated Blackberry App World tonight because I am sick of the reminders that look out of place to my berry-trained eye. And guess what happens? App Error 523 and a reboot nightmare of epic proportions. I want beat the snot out of Rim and TMO, as the TMO Fives app is the reason noted causing the app error.

I NEVER USE TMO FIVES! Never have, never will. No need. So why do we not have the option of kicking this wasteful software off our phones without using MaxMem? It's a waste of space and a waste of my energy again. Does anyone have any idea why we are stuck with this crap software, along with the MDS and PTT that no BIS user on TMO uses?

I can't remember a time in the last year when any software update to my 8900 and now my 9700 has caused a major traumatic event. I am sick and tired of it and would like some answers. Seriously. Ugh.
 
Contact T-Mobile and they can disable the app completely from your account unless you have a my-faves line. Non-MyFaves lines can now have the app to use as a speed dial if they wish. If you are on a my-faves account then you may have an issue with one of your contacts in your myfaves that is causing the app to crash. I have actually installed the app on at&t phones and have not run into constant problems such as what you are reporting (minor problems that were easily solved have shown up).

They can never seem to figure anything out. I trust what I learn here more, and often have to refer their reps to this site. I removed it with Maxmem, and it seems to be working. I am upgrading software in addition to see if it helps withmy constant dropped calls, even though I am sitting right next to my router.
