BlackBerry 9700

So I called T-Mo this morning and the guy says the order was never placed so NOW I have to call and speak with a supervisor this sucks. Though I called back and spoke with someone else shortly after I spoke to Chris and he said the order was placed SMH.

Uggh they didn't place the order hopefully when I speak to a Sup everything will be done correctly. Will post results hopefully I can get free express shipping!

Same thing for me on my order. Worst case we wait until the 16th. I should wait, but I do want the newer model.LOL we don't even have 3G here in Pensacola yet so only difference between it and my 8900 is the touch pad vs the trackball.

Oh no sorry it happened to u too chs let's hope we make progress today or we can wait like you said. Lol we do have 3g in Pittsburgh finally!

**UPDATE** ok so I just called back and she said that it doesn't come out until Monday so I will order it then ahh well I tried lol. I won't get it from a store either because they won't give me a full discount only CC will.

Im on the phone with them right now-- they are giving me the full discount-- even though i upgraded to the 8900 back in January!! The rep that i got was very nice!!

I had spoken to a rep yesterday who told me that they had received an email that they were to discontinue taking orders on the 9700. She advised that any orders that were placed that were non-business customers, would be cancelled and customers would have to wait until 9/16/09.

I placed a call to Att customer service and they had no clue what I was talking about when I asked about the 9700. So I called my usual Att store about when the 9700 is coming out. The rep said he didn't know but it should be soon. He said he was waiting for it so that he could upgrade and then put me on hold. He apparently talked to the manager there and said there was no info on the 9700 release date but the manager did say that there would be a touchscreen Blackberry coming to them soon.

Looks like I am switching to TMO tomorrow. Checked out there prices and it will save me $20 a month and the wifi enabled calling and texting might be even cheaper for me now. I text a lot to int'l numbers (Canada) and the store rep told me that technically since we are texting through the WI-FI, the service doesn't know the location and won't charge it as int'l. Going to test it out a few times and see if it actually is true.
