Blackberry 8520 or HTC tattoo?

Yes, I know that they are different makes so it may be an unfair question, but I am in a bit of a fuddle. My choices are;
- Blackberry 8520
- HTC Tattoo

I've looked at both phones and they are both decent in there own right. I definitely want a phone with push e-mail and texting. And nothing too expensive. So any insight would be greatly appreciated.
