I have been waiting for ages for this to be reduced in the shops. Bought it today and just watched it.

What an excellent film, the story, music and acting are first class. Anyone else love it or alternatively hate it and why?

I got it so ike hood toh soff to Christina Ricci.

The story was alright, but her breasts were, as they say in Australia, "incredible."

I was a bit ashamed that I still fancied a cheap looking and grubby Ricci. What a body.

It was very funny when SLJ ran outside with his bible when she made a pass at him.

I turned off not long after that though because it really was quite dull.

What's it like up there on your pedastool?

I watched this when it first came out on DVD with a friend and it just seemed to go ooon and ooon and ooon, it was a seriously crap film, with questionable acting at best.

OK, bearing in mind you did choose to watch it and had possibly read a review of it beforehand, what was it you hated:confuse about it?

I didn't hate it but I thought the mixture of Christianity and Nymphomania to be way to tenuous to support a feature length movie. Samuel L Jackson was excellent in his role, Ricci was passable at best but Timberlake was awful. It felt like he was testing out the exercises given to him by his acting teacher. The "explanation" of Ricci's sickness, that it was her father/step father who abused her was insulting to be honest, and felt so tacked on it must have been written and shot on the last day of filming.
All in all I think it's an average movie - 4.5/10.

I had no idea what it was about, Mr H asked me to 'acquire' it, which I did, I only watched it because he told me SLJ was in it - so in effect watched it with a completely open mind, though that is probably not quite true since I probably had preconcieved notions on what a SLJ movie was going to be.

Like I said before, watched it, hated it, deleted it

I didn't like the subject matter at all - the performances were ok, nothing too stand-out, though I must admit to not realising until part of the way through, that it was Christina Ricci, interesting performance from Sam Jackson, but that is about as positive as I can get

If you like the blues, Samuel L Jackson, Christina Ricci's titties, or Justin "Wooden" Timberlake, it's not the worst thing in the world.

I ran out of Kleenex...and it's not a sad movie...yeah...
