Black N73 housing now on cnn.cn

I hear ya on taking it apart more than needed. Only had to do it completely once. Took about 15 minutes beginning to end with sort of taking my time. Had all the tools laid out first. Prying off the LCD retainer is tough (at least it was for me) for the two bottom clips.

Then, however, the front bezel had to come off 2 more times cause I didn't want a spec of dust or a smudge on either the LCD or inside of the front screen (too picky).

One note, I didn't disconnect the LCD ribbon cable and remove the LCD. Some of the other instructions hint at removing it (by showing it disconnected and removed). I didn't think it was necessary, you just have to be careful as it is only 'hanging on' by the ribbon cable. If you hold it all together, be careful and keep conscious of it, there's no issue with not removing/disconnecting it, IMO. Just one more thing to break or do wrong if you do. YMMV.

I went back to the regular plain-jane. I have a 20gb iPod that I use for music, so the music edition player, while cool, is kinda overkill. Like having a regular ipod and a nano, you know?
 
I don't know for sure, but I know that it felt faster with plain firmware. the music player can be closed, but only if you have a task manager.
 
for $70 it damn well better come with everything.

what sucks even more is before i noticed that I spent $8 on Hi8 tapes at walmart and then another freain $20 at Home Depot cause I couldn't find anything chepaer with a damn T6 in it. Didn't think to buy the cnn.cn one, I neded up with this little zipper case with like 15 other screwdriver tips in there, lol. I've now spent $98 to switch my N73 to a ME.
 
Well I just don't know what to do. I think I'm going to buy another s60 again. I might just get the white/red. I would love to have a white/red and replace the white front with the black front. I think that would look sexy.
 
mine was shipped a few days ago, expect to get it sometime in the middle of next week. I'm going to do a video of the process, but it will honestly probably be the weekend before I can get it posted.
 
well, i emailed him again through paypal. i think i will escalate it into claims if he doesn't reply within the time limit. but really, i hope he replies soon cause i want another faceplate off him.

i also ordered the music edition keypad - it has the asian strokes and the music note. i've compared everything with my original and non-asian keypad and everything is exactly the same. the quality, the looks, the feel... everything.

anyways, just got a question to you guys that ordered faceplates off cnn: do you notice any cracks or anything? or am i the only person that's has cracking problelms?

darla, i don't think the calling rates of hong kong are that expensive... like 5-7 cents?
