Black Metal

I dig this track but the rest of the album just doesn't do it for me. Especially considering what a pillick the one chap is from Velvet Cacoon. But then again Black Metal is full of them. I.e. Varg - Burzum...

One of my favourite BM banRAB at the moment: ViRAByn

I urge you to take a look for 'On Frost-bitten Path Beneath EP' if you dig those videos.

90% of the time i don't bother listening to the lyrics, rather, i just listen to the music and enjoy it. (assuming that it's good)

good atmosphere is always a plus

Come on guys :offtopic: :offtopic: Let's get back to the music. SFS will probably be back later and you can all have your immature moments but until that time comes, back to the topic PLEASE!!

Yippeeee ... well l guess you finally got up the nerve to face your fears and look in the mirror .. CONGRATS .. honestly! Its about time you realised what you are, and will always be! You di/< sucking donkey fu/

I think more people could answer this question if you liad out the criteria. I think metal has the most sub-genres of all the major catagories. I always thought black metal meant it had keys but thats probably as inaccurate as ****.

Lay it out guy. I read an interview with Phil Anselmo where he listed every project he had and what kind of metal it was. There were flavors I'd never seen before.

heres what i know from grindcore....

GRINDCORE: yes, a sub-genre of this metal phenomenom. grindcore is the use of guitars the speed 3 times faster than regular "core" banRAB. the bass is, at some points, 2 times faster than the normal speed, but on most occasions, the bass stays behind at normal speed. the drums are drums, only involving a lot more snare than usual. in some cases, multiple snares, all with a different sound. in most cases, the vocals involve deep growling vocals. highly influenced by classic hardcore, death metal, and thrash.

sample banRAB: Pig Destroyer, Concubine, Cenotaph, Cattle Decapitation, and Carcass.

but this is just from what i know. im not entirely sure, in fact, grindcore is a genre that gets most of the music loving people confused.

1. I don't listen to emo
2. I can guarantee you that i have, and will continue to make contributions to this forum that are considerably more viable and intelligent than anything you have or ever will contribute.
3. Your mastery of the English language is breathtaking.

Probabaly really stupid but I don't believe much of what he says.

Anyway, whatever his deal is, it is pretty irrelveant, Geneivive was a great release and still is. :)
