Black Lagoon

yup black lagoon is definitely a great anime - i really like it since it shows the underground society of our world but at the same time you dont know just how far they're exaggerating the reality
 
I just think it's sad that a lot of people are trying to compare it to Cowboy Bebop, and yes I agree there are similarities, I don't think it deserves to be categorized like that.

Black Lagoon is on its own level, and as much as I love to make comparisons, I think that this is one of those instances where there should be no comparison.
 
Only few anime can get my adrenaline level so high during action scenes. Ever since I saw the BAD ASS scene when their torpedo boat hit the assault helicopter, I never looked back.

Cannot wait for season 3.
 
The show is great with mutual conflict with hotel Moscow and my favorite character is Rock due to his innocent personality and when he gets serious you know something great and unexpected is going to happen.
 
IDK why it took me so long to post in this thread...

The gretel arc was absolutely epic, i love her.(him? w/e...)

Then the guy started killing people who have guns with a sword and im like "wtf... that's retarded." Here i thought it was different from all the BS anime's, and was more or less realistic, but i guess anime people can't resist putting a badass sword weilder in their shows. Whatever, it was good either way...
 
That being said, I think the main reason they are compared is because if you like one, it's just not possible to dislike the other .

To be honest, there is a small group of animes which I would put in the same category as Black Lagoon, but if you asked me, I couldn't really explain why... it's just the way they FEEL. Besides Cowboy Bebop, one would be Samurai Champloo.
 
well black lagoon is one of the top anime i like im glad i went to supanova a pop culture place its thanks to me loving anime i always go to supanova and thats when i saw black lagoon then i just fell in love with it
 
for some reason I didn't like this anime that much, idk... maybe I didn't get it that much. I recognize this is an awsome anime, very original, different from those traditional animes (like naruto, bleach...).
 
black lagoon, amazing, I like the scene were Rock and revy are arguing and she wants him to go away, she goes to shoot him and he throws the gun away and they start arguing, both claiming that they dont know anything about each others lives and what its like for them, its one of the less action packed scenes of BL but thats what makes it so great, its so much more than just action filled bravado. I think its brilliant and cant wait for the third season.
 
my favorite character was actually Balalaika. That russian ***** is straight up g. her authority and i don't give a **** attitude never ceases to amaze me. but yeah, Revy is such a bamf with those berettas.
 
I love Black Lagoon! It was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a typical T&A/Girls-with-guns plot and got actual plot, characterization and just overall greatness! My fav would have to be Balalaika. Though Shenhua is a close second!
 
Gotta Agree i love Black Lagoon! Eda's gotta be my fav character! though you only really get to see her in the second barrage... i hope theres more of her in the 3rd season coming up!
