Black Ghost Knife Fish in a temporary 10 gallon tank?

My boyfriend is finally getting me my spiffalicious 55 gallon fish tank in a couple of weeks. Yay :D
So I've been doing some research on what types of fish I could add to my current fishy family, once I get the tank going, and I would reeeeally like to add in a Black Ghost Knife Fish. I've done lots of research about compatability, what products and decorations he'll need, and so on and so forth, so I'm good on all that. I also read the tank should be cycled before one of these cutie pies goes in. Would a small BGK (as in 3"-4") be able to live alone in a 10 gallon cycled tank for a few weeks while my big one cycles with my other fish in it? Or should I just wait and hope the fish store I go to still has some available once my big tank is finally done cycling?

Thanks in advance for any advice :]

Yes for awhile thou but later on your fish is going to need a big tank especially the one you have trust me or it will start becoming depress will not move get sick and eveuntually die
