Black ghost knife fish help?

im thinking about getting my first one. i have a 10 gallon tank, but im going to be getting a 45 gallon tank in the next month or two.
do you think it would be ok in there for that long?
i also have a little african dwarf frog (i think thats the name) would the BGK attack it?
if not what other fish/water animals would it be ok with?
 
black ghost knifes get to 20in. in the wild, though only 10-12in. in an aquarium.i would get a 45G just to start off with, not a 10G
