Thta's good advice. I did the very thing last week and have to say the original is brilliant. The killer's voice on the phone is very creepy. I'm sure the remake will make a pigs ear out of the whole thing.
even though there its said there have been many re-shoots, it looks like her character dies a violent and bloody death! as does everyone who dies! from what iv read anyway
was gonna say looks like a halloween wannabe but then i heard it was made pre halloween 1. to be fair it doesnt look too bad, i do like films like scream and halloween so it might be ok. il probably wait until it comes out on DVD though
The remake. It's a simple film, does what it says on the tin, not terrifying, not dull just a bit of grisly fun. I admit I usually set my expectations low/approach films like this sceptically but it still entertained me.
Yes but where is the suspense when you have sen it all before? I will hardly be on the edge of my seat.
Did you find it more or less chilling than the original?
For me it had a totally different feel than the original. I think that's what the teanm behind it were going for though as it's so different to the source material.
I think it's the right decision to be honest because I hate it when they just tweak or try to remake movies scene for scene - just make a new one inspired by the original like The Hills Have Eyes for example rather than say The Wicker Man.
Less shocker, more fun - although it has one or two fairly tense moments and couple or nice red herrings. Not a classic but good fun.
My only complaint? Michelle Trachtenburg didn't get her kit off. Now that would made my Christmas right there...
I think Michelle Trachenburg not getting her kit off was the suspence for you in this case.
So it's not awful then?
I admit I did enjoy "Hills have Eyes" Remake
I have not yet seen "The Wicker Man" Remake
BUT I didn't like "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" or "The Fog" as Remakes.
