Black Berry 9700 battery charge problem???

I have a Black berry 9700 it was was working normal but after some days its battery went down and now the battery does not have any charge when i try to charge it with original charger of blackberry there comes a signal of battery with a red slash on it means battery is not chargeable or something like that how to solve this

Battery is original and it is for nokia 9700
