I want to try black bear hunting in MN, i don't know if i should buy a non-quota license in which i can take 2 bears, OTC, but pretty much everywhere but the Roseau wouldn't contain bears in that non-quota area. Or i could enter the drawing for one of the quota areas, chances look promising, what do you think? and my actual main concern is about the baiting deal. do you bait on public land? what types of public land? and would it ever be worth the effort to setup a bait station but tear it down and throw the drums/bait in the back of the truck when im done hunting? because you don't need the bait station registration stuff if you tear it down while not hunting, and considering you don't normally hunt mornings, there would obviously be time.
