Black Animated Sirens

Have there ever been ANY black famous animated sirens in the history of animation? Most of them have all been white-

Jessica Rabbit, Red Hot Riding Hood, Holly Would, Hello Nurse.

Coal Black is the ONLY one I can think of. :p

Not really, unless you consider the likes of Valerie from Josie and the Pussycats, Astria from the Young (Space) Sentinels, Dee-Dee Skies from Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels or Diana from Dungeons & Dragons to be sirens. However, Cristal (I think that's how it was spelled), the prostitute from the Boondocks episode "Guess Ho's Coming to Dinner" does spring to mind.

But one must also consider the fact that the majority of animation writers and directors are white males, so it's not surprising that much of the animated shows seem to be geared towards their particular tastes. Perhaps if there were more African-Americans in the industry, we'd see more African American characters with enviable roles.

Are you talking about the princess? I was talking about the Latina/Hispanic tomboy with the hat.

EWW.

I thought the animated Bumblebee from TT and the black girl in Batman Beyond were cute.

Silverstar PMed me and said:

The main character in Ralph Bashki's Heavy Traffic had a black girlfriend, and in 2009 we'll be getting our first black Disney Princess, Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, but I don't know if either of them could be categorized as 'sirens' in the Jessica Rabbit sense

Sprocket from Viewtiful Joe

I can't think of anyone famous honestly, but Sprocket was rather attractive..
