anyone knows how to get me to be able to edit the NVM option on my phone every time i try to edit it it says the option has been blocked from the service provider!
is there anyone that can help me with that please?
Thanks in advance.

What type of phone is it? Does bitpim pick it up, or does it pick it up as other cdma? I had a similar issue with an lg dare, that had service required. To make a long story short after that bitpim would only recognize it as other cdma, thus not allowing to edit the file system. However when I went to preferences and manually selected LG DARE VX9700 it started working like a charm. Hope this helps...

$SYS.ESN file must be edited to restore esn

look for info on mobile-files.com

due to the nature of the inforamtion, i will not post instructions on this forum

hint- if you have trouble saving or writing files first use lg download nv edit tool to put phone in special dm mode

Thanks man , it worked for me, but my question is how can u read the ESN or MEID on the bitpim files, under the NVM the ESN or MEID , how can u tell what ESN it is?
Thanks for the help.
