bitpim help

does anyone have any insight about bitpim not recognizing phones?
maybe like a missing dll file or something like that?
i have an lg rumor and i want to back up my phonebook but pitpim wont recognize.

any help is greatly appreciated.
 
same problem here, it just shows as other cdma phone on com5... I have checked the list the LX260/LG260 or even rumor isn't listed in the LG section of the phones list for bitpim...

the version I have is 1.0.5
