I occasionally bite the inside of my cheek allways on the back right,It is accidental but sometimes it swells a little and then the swelled part sticks in between my back teeth and it becomes unavoidable. I try to prevent further pain by pushing cheek outwards using my tongue. However you cant eat then ,looking for way to keep inside of cheek away from back teeth

Swelling of saliva glands can cause this problem. Once you bite your cheek, seems you keep on doing it.

Paying very close attention every time you chew, it is possible to avoid biting the cheek. This will take ALL of your attention when chewing.

Rinsing mouth with Listerine mouthwash will help take the soreness out of your cheek and possibly reduce swelling.

Over the years I have bitten my cheek on the left side so much I have scar tissue I can feel with my tongue. My dentist says an oral surgeon can smooth it out. Maybe see your dentist and see what he says before you do this to yourself too often.

I do it now and then I hate when that happens! They tell me to chew slower! Lol
Warm salt water will take care of pain also .
