birthday party buffet Q's?

The kids are there for the kids party, which you are paying for. If the parents are hanging around, you have a right to ask. They party and food is for the kids, not the adults. 99.9% of parent would not have a problem. The other .1% are just cheap (usually the ones that regift kids toys).

I'm having a childs birthday party at a local pizza place that has a pizza buffet. I'm planning to pay for the ALL the kids' buffet. Is it acceptable to ask for All the adults to pay for their own buffet, which by the way is less than $5.
 
I think that's totally acceptable. It's a kids birthday party, not an adult birthday party. usually the adults drop their kids off, then they come back, so if they want to stay and eat, then they can pay for their own food!
