London: A debate has been triggered off in Britain after researchers at Newcastle University were successful in creating a human-cow hybrid embryo.

Although the embryo was destroyed in three days, scientists feel if they are successful in creating human embryos from animal eggs it will help devleop cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis.

Dr Stephen Minger, Kings College, London says, “The most hateful things that I've heard said about us is that they liken us to Mengele, to the Nazis, that we're creating monsters, that our research is grotesque and Frankenstein-like.”

The research, if successful, will benefit people like Caroline Haynes, who has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

“We are the ones who should speak out about this, because we know more than anybody how this will affect us in the future,” says a patient Caroline Haynes.

If we were meant to cross-breed with other species of the world, we would be able to. They could actually create new incurable diseases tampering with nature that way. I think that's a disaster waiting to happen.

This is the greatest discovery man has ever made. We should begin to cross breed humanity with all the other animals and see what happens.

get your facts straight first.

whether you are for or against this - do the research yourself on what was accomplished

you have not explained it very well, and it's not that simple

just some friendly advice
