Biochemistry vs. Biology Major for Pre-med?

Biochemistry rules all the way. It definitely is thought to be harder, but I've done it and I don't think that it is much harder than biochem or premed. The best part about it is that it has much more scope than biomed or premed, seeing as both those are only useful if you can get into medical college after. If you're a 100% sure that you want to become a doctor, I'd still enroll in biochem and later on if you decide you want to switch it's very easy. It's harder to switch from bio med to biochem.. but from biochem to biomed will be a breeze... Good luck!!!!!!!!

Hey guys i'm a senior in high school and i'm kinda confused about which major to pick for pre-med considering the fact that i wanna be a doctor? Actually i wanna be a surgeon but haven't decided what kind yet..
i've heard biochem is harder than biology but would biology be more helpful since you get to take human anatomy and the internal human body stuff or would biochem be more helpful b/c you get to take the chemistry within the human body and stuff like that?
i really need someone's help lol

I'm getting into biomed or biology. You can get into whatever you want as long as it follows the criteria for medical school.
All you really need is a bachelors in arts or science so it doesn't actually really matter what pre-med program you're getting into.

You should however get into something actually related to medicine or something related to a life science (kinesiology, midwifery, nurse school whatever!)
