Did I say that? No, I did not.
I'm just wondering why you seem to accept as perfectly natural that police are giving special favors to a guy in hopes they will donate to the police non-profit. Which is the most the article alleges -- not that O'Reilly for his part offered to make a donation if they catered to him, but that the police catered to him because they hoped it would sway him to make a donation. Or perhaps just that Da Commish was pulling strings to help O'Reilly because they he knew him personally.
Nothing in the article, however, backs up their claim that Bill O was "treating his local police department like a private security force".
