Bill and Ted 3..... Please let it be a joke!

Keanu Reeves is possibly interested in starring in another Bill & Ted movie.

Speaking to MTV, the Matrix star hinted that he would like to reprise the role of slacker Ted for a third Bill & Ted outing.

Reeves co-starred with Alex Winter in 1989's Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and 1991's Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. Both films centred on a pair of time travelling heavy metal fans.

When asked if he would be in favour of reviving the comedy franchise, Reeves responded: "I'm trying, I

So the films shouldn't be revived because you gave up on the first one after 10 mins???? How about simply don't see it if they do make it?

Keanu Reeves is far too old for this role now. It would be almost like John Travolta going back to Grease. Reeves should re-consider making a sequel to this already so-so franchise and focus on something new and more suitable :)

Last I heard the studio who own the rights was planning to reboot the franchise and use new actors. I know Alex Winter wrote a screenplay many years ago and actually wrote the original script for Bogus Journey but the studio changed it. Alex's script for the third film centred around Bill and Ted being middle aged former rockers, who have not spoken to each other in over twenty years. But in order to save mankind they must reunite and rediscover themselves in the past.

If they acyually do a third film I hope that its not another remake, and they go with Alex Winters screenplay instead of some stupid screenplay written by somebody who never really watched the other films. As for Keanu returning, a few years ago he said no way in hell, but now he is always pushing for it to happen. I guess the over one hundred million dollars (Salary and 15% of the profits) he made for doing The Matrix Trilogy made him decide he could afford to go back.

I liked both of 'em, especially the sequel. The idea of Reeves going all 'woah' again, does make me smile.

The idea of another reboot doesn't.

Nope not at all. I would do that. I'm more than capable of not seeing this film if it gets made. I'm thinking about the age Keanu is and what Ted or Bill (whichever he played) was like.

Do we want to see Wayne's World 3 with Wayne and Garth as guys aged around 40 talking and acting like they did 20 years ago? I'm guessing not.
There comes a point when you think "i'm too old" for this.
Michael Crawford was often asked to do different things as Frank Spencer. He always turned it down. He said he couldn't remember how to play him as it had been so long ago (this was in the mid-Eighties), but the main reason he would say no is because Frank was loveable in his innocence and naivety, If he was still like that as an 40+ year old man still doing the facial expressions and saying "ooh Betty!" he wouldn't be loveable and inncocent, he would look pathetic.
He loves Frank and owes him everything, but there comes a time when you have to say goodbye to the character.

^You seem to be going on the assumption that they would try to be exactly like they were in the first two, keep doing the same old schtick rather than address the obvious issue of their age within the story. People made the same mistake with the last Rocky film, and practically the whole thing revolved around him bordering on old-age. Much different genres I know, but the point is relevant I think.

It's 20 years on pretty much, I think it would make sense to have the movie feature Bill & Ted's kiRAB, who are now in high school like they were. Of course, Keanu and Alex should still play Bill & Ted and be the main people in it, but their kiRAB should basically be the new Bill & Ted.

I think if would be funny if Bill had ended up marrying Missy, who was his dad's new wife (but they know her from school!). Also, Ted should turn into his dad without realising it, wanting to send his own kid off to military school. The princesses who were supposed to be their wives in the future have both left them. Say Bill & Ted's kiRAB are the only chance to save mankind after Bill & Ted threw their lives away.

No no no no no no. Why must people keep insisting on things involving the kiRAB of characters. I am not opposed to Bill and Ted having kiRAB, but to include them in a major way would not work, and I dont wanna see the current crop of teen actors like Efron and Lautner involved in something like this. As I stated before they should stick to Alex Winters idea where Bill and Ted are dried up former rockers, who after 20 years are forced to come back to save the world. If they do not do it that way then the only way to go is have them both be high ranking businessmen who became all about the money, and not about the music or the fans. And in order to save the world they go back in time rediscover themselves.

Im all for it-here hoping Death makes a comeback-(surely best of 7). Playing games with Death for life-still makes me chuckle to this day.
Oh and those headlines over the soundtrack at the end-very clever.
