my 2005 zx6r 636 wont start. all the electrical works and engine is fine... when i push the start button there is clicking from under the seat but it doesnt start..has this happened to anybody else?? does anybody know what the probelem is?? thanks

Your battery is almost dead or your starter is bad. I'd say it's your battery if it's the original. A weak battery will have enough amps to operate low power items like lights but not enough for the starter.

have you checked the spark plug? maybe that's the problem if your batteries are okay.

again check the battery. how long has the bike been sitting since it was last started. you can charge the battery on a small trickle charger. i recommend removing the battery from the bike just to be sure you dont accidently short something out and fry your computer system. be sure to remove the neg cable first and then the pos cable. let it slow charge over night. if the battery is good but just lost charge from sitting it should crank over the engine with no problem. if not, you need to look into a new battery. if you have to buy a new one be sure to once again charge the battery overnight to get it fully charged. batteries kinda have a memory. and also be sure when you reinstall you must install the the pos cable first and then the neg. hope this helps

Sounds like a dead battery or a loose connection at the battery terminals or at the starter.

Mine does the same thing just hook your battery up to a battery charger and turn the choke on and then try to kick start it(with the battery charger on it still) let it run and rev up the motor a couple of times then your good, be careful of stalling it will not start up again

welcome (if it helped)

Continuous clicking like a machine gun is a defective starter solenoid.
The battery (+) cable goes to the starter solenoid.
The 2 large terminals on the starter solenoid - touch them both at the same time with a large screw driver,
If the engine cranks over, replace the solenoid.
