Got it all together today, did everything right, new gasket on and fitted, timing was right (marks all aligned) and put everything back together.
Came to start it and it ran crappy, i assumed it was the oil used in assembly fouling the plugs and burning off.
But then i found that cylinder 3 doesn't fire, the exhaust pipe isnt hot. BUT when i rev it over about 4/5k, it backfires and smoke comes out and then the pipe warms up for a short while.
Checked the plug itself, and no difference when changed to the old one. Got too dark to carry on but any ideas would be a help so i could try them tomorrow. Hopefully will be something simple
