Bike suggestions for two-up riding... what are you riding?

I am looking for suggestions on a bike for two up riding. I don't tour or look for a bike to do 500 mile day rides on but something the wife and I can comfortably take out and maybe go for 150 or so mile round trip rides on. I have been looking at the Multistrada but the wife is pushing for something more along the Harley line. I don't know if I like the looks of the Multi either. I know it has gear performance but I currently ride a 999s so I have that department covered when I need my canyon carving or track day fix. I have also looked at the Triumph rocket III, as I seem to like the looks and gobs of power.

Just looking for suggestions feedback so I can start to narrow don the choices... Ducati, BMW, Moto G., Triumph... I am all over the board at this point. I have not ruled out Harley, nothing against them, but maybe something a little more unique if possible, but I am not sure I can beat the comfort factor of Harley.

For 2 up, nothing beats the Ducati 907ie. Comfortable for you and the passenger, great handling, great brakes, still sporty enough to be fun, even with a passenger on the back, beautiful bike and unusual. Not everybody has one. Reliable. Sexy. And, it's a Duc!

Ahem... Beeemer!

My personal is a K1200RS and love it. It's just one of those that every time I ride her she brings me a smile. Even too and from work almost every day..

H-D's are great for two up. The Electra Glide, Road King, and Heritage come to mind. Get a kick out of the Road King here.

Consider one the BMW's. The K1200LT is their high end touring bike, but for a little more fun factor for the pilot, give the R1200RT and R1200GS a long look. Both of these bikes are a blast in the curves, go far in style, and are very passenger friendly. My wife likes the RT and GS best. The RT has amenities like a passenger heated seat. The GS offers advantages like going down any road, including off road, and its high seat position gives the passenger a fine view.
 
As much as i like Ducatis' i wouldn't have one as a long distance tourer, IMO the maintenance/valve adjustment cost make them prohibitive. +1 on the BMW's, If i could swing it I'd have an R1200RT or a K1200GT sitting next to my Ducati.
 
I have to disagree with the monster, my buddy has a S2R. He did one two hour trip with his girlfriend on back two years ago and she's never been on it since. My SS got rave reviews from passengers surprisingly, but the 750 motor just didn't have enough juice for two up.
 
Get her her own bike. There are two advantages to this.

1. She won't be able to beat on your shoulder and yell at you when you go 5 over.

2. See the penultimate
