I would like to bike from one place to the other (order doesn't matter). I was wondering if anyone has done this or has biked anywhere in between these two areas. I plan to do it during the summer of 2011 am curious as to what conditions I should expect to encounter other than high temperatures and the risk of dehydration. I will be using a very old Peugeot road bike so I am curious if I should try to modify it to allow me to bring a tent in case I am not able to find a place to sleep at night. I was thinking I can just bring a very large backpack containing a med kit, food, clothes, and anything you guys might recommend. The point is I would not be able to bring a tent unless I modify my bike in some way.
