At two weeks old I wouldn't even consider repairing the bike especially as, depending on who does the repairs, the job may not be 'as good as new'.
As for damaging the frame ... remember that the slight fall was caused by a vehicle hitting the bike.
i also know of a F4 MV being written off by an insurance company (in this case the bike can't be reregistered) for a damaged frame (only the seat subframe was damaged). The owner bought the bike from the insurance company and made it his track bike. The total cost was $ 8,000 AUD for a $25,000+ bike. But then, the bike can only be ridden on the track so the resale value is bugger all.
