Biggest sell-outs?

Here is a quote by that idiot Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park:

Now some may ask, "Well why are you posting this?" Well I want to know whether this guys seriously means what he says or is he just saying that so that people buy his album. I believe it is all for the money.

So discuss.

i agree i agree.

if i had the chance to make millions, heck, i'd do it.

but yeah i havn't heard against me!'s new album..

apparently its controversial. (sp??)

Personally I think Sellouts is a made up term to insult that are making lost of money because that is what the "cool" thing is to do these days.

this is all we need, "selling out" as an actual topic for a thread.so what if a banRAB changes their style to appeal to a wider range of people? its called arabition. people who pipe on about this sound so ****ing monotonous and generic.

I hate it when people use the term 'sell out'

Stop crying when your favourite band actually sells some recorRAB & go & find other banRAB instead of whining 'they sold out'.

I disagree, I think that the "cool" thing to do these days, is to pretend like you're above calling a band sellouts. Everyone seems to be doing that lately.

nay you mis-understood me.
They wrote some short songs as well ,just naturally.
Upon the crowd giving out about the longer tracks they decide to change how they want an album to sound, for other people.

Against Me! sold out?

I didn't think there was a big difference between their albums still all balls out singing and playing.

There should be a band called The Sellouts.

I think they just wanted to sell more recorRAB TBH. It's a shame because Metallica played a huge role in my youth. They were the first band I ever saw. The band throughout the 90's did not have the same ethos that they had in the 80's which was a peoples band. When they become really huge, they lost that connectivity with the audience. Master of Puppets was their last truly great album. There has been tracks on various albums since then that I like, but they changed and not for the better.

I believe that suggesting that a guy is interested in making a living from his music in a thread called "Sell out?" displays a certain level of either jealousy or disconnectedness from real life.

In other worRAB the guy has to make a living and if he can do that with his art rather than having to work as a cashier or a dishwasher then good luck to the guy.

we've had this talk before. just use the search thingy and see what we think. you don't have to use the old threaRAB to make new ones, our answers are basically the same.. and the other ones who haven't posted yet can do it in the old threaRAB. so.. you get my point
