Biggest Disappointment.

I really enjoyed Lock, Stock and two smoking barrells, but I do agree with the rest about the new War Of The WorlRAB. It is quite boring and when I went to the cinema to see it about half way through I fell a sleep. My wife had to wake me.

Resident Evil, which is the second worst film I've ever seen after Simply Irresistable. I still don't get the crab, it was just such a odd and rubbish film. Similar to Resident Evil in which the zombie's looked like people going to a fancy dress party as frankinstein. It was funny, but for the wrong reasons.

For me and i know everyone will probably want to bitch slap me for this but it has to be

donnie darko. I just didnt get it and my friend was going on and on about how great it was well i just thought no its crap, thinking its interlectual when its just nonsensical rubbish!

David Fincher is responsible for Alien 3 - he has actually said that he's not happy with the movie and that he wanted to do a completely different one.. the extra features in the Quadrilogy kind of explain what he wanted to do... but he's basically disowned it now..

I for one don't understand the huge backlash towarRAB Alien 3.. I actually enjoyed it.. sure it's not as good as the first two, but there is nothing fundamentally terrible about it that makes it unbearable to watch

Moulin Rouge - what was so great about that? A musical with no original songs!
Billy Elliot - really didn't get what all the fuss was about.
Captain Correlli's Mandolin - did the producers read the same book I did?

The Full Monty

I waited six months to see this on video as I missed it at the cinema. I heard all these stories of people virtually collapsing in their seats from hysterical laughing and numerous hype. When I rented it I was expecting to see nothing less than the funniest film ever made!! But of course it wasn't. That's what overhype does.

I agree with someone else in this post about Star WarRAB 1 and 2. They were like a computer game, not a film. 3 was good, but none of them beat the originals.

And not everyone has to appreciate the same things. There any many things that I dislike yet still appreciate. A crap British film with zero plot and slapstick comedy is not one of them.

Just because you like something that I don't, doesn't make you right and me wrong. Maybe you just have bad taste in films and should start watching more?

Hey hey hey! The Full Monty is one of my fave films!! And I f*cking love Robert Carlyle!! So don't diss it too much! :p People always ruin a film by saying its hilariously funny and giving it too much build up :(

Anyways...someone earlier mentioned Calender Girls and I would agree to a certain extent. I thought it would be a film I would typically enjoy - I've got a thing for 'up-north' films - but it wasn't what I expected and it did bore me at times.

But the biggest contender I can think of yet, and I predict there will be raised eyebrows from this, is...Sideways. I mean c'mon, can someone actually explain to me why this movie is supposed to be so good and genius and won so many awarRAB??! All I got from it was two guys, going on a road trip and stopping to taste wine on the way. Thats it. I think I managed to force a chuckle once or twice, but apparantly its hilarious?? I didn't even finish watching the film, I had to stop half way through and told myself I would have to watch it another time to see if I had actually missed something, but I still haven't got round to it! I watched it at Xmas with my parents and they were bored out their nuts too. Any comments?

I was disappointed by Batman Begins. A lot of people have praised it but I just didn't like it as much as everyone else did. Christian bale's awful Batman voice and the fast cut fight scenes were the main things I hated about it.

for me the biggest disappointment for the movies are

1. Fear Dot Com (2002) I sat through watching it and wasted 1hour of my life, but because i have a brain i decided to walk out in the middle of the movie.

2. Scary Movie 3 - I thought this was cheap

3. The Ring (2002) I didnt find this scary, i was falling asleep.

4. Oceans 11 remake and Oceans 12 - Thought they where both crap.

5. An American Haunting - This movie was so cheesy and cheap, it was like a remake or something.

6. American Dreamz - It was like watching American Pie & Old School (but those two movies are much better and more funny).

7. Independence Day (Will Smith) I like Will Smith but this movie was so cheesy in so many ways, even though i love the special effects the story i find a bit weak.

8. The Core (2003) again like Independence Day the story is weak, the characters are nothing special but i love the special effects.

9. X-Men 3 - I really enjoyed the special effects but again i thought the characters where a bit weak and they where lacking the story because i felt like i was watching x-men 1 again where they where finding mutants with special powers and telling them how great your powers are blah blah, then again like in x-men 1 in the end something bad was happening and they lived happily ever after, this just felt like the first movie but i did enjoy the special effects.

Thats 9 movies i found disappointing, but worth renting.

Oceans 11
Matrix Reloaded
Matrix Revolutions
The Grudge
Tomb Raider The Cradel of Life
Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire
Resident Evil
Resident Evil: Apocolypse
Hulk
Scary Movie 3 + 4

all terrible in there own way

It has to be Troy. After watching and enjoying Gladiator I was looking forward to seeing Troy epecially after I had studied Homers The Iliad when I was younger.
