Biggest Disappointment.

Agree 100% - with two good actors why did the film go so flat, I kept waiting for the plot to get better and it didn't (I unfortunately stayed until the end).

Most over-hyped films have disappointed me, I can hardly think of anything decent I've seen from the past couple of years.
The Day After Tomorrow was complete rubbish as are most remakes.

Actually I blame the director for that one. I listened to the DVD commentary, and it confirmed that he had no original ideas, no sense for what PK Dick was about and was generally rubbish. His only skill is setting up action scenes.

You don't have to like something to appreciate it.

I don't like musicals but still think that some are quality films.

Just not to my taste.

Aww, we liked that and had it as the first dance at our wedding (the Ewan Macgregor version). A friend of ours who is a dance teacher taught us a foxtrot for it :)

I thought Bad Boys 2 was rubbish compared to the original. 2 Fast 2 Furious was a bit of an anti-climax too that had a poor ending without the villain even putting up a fight to the death.

Without a doubt 'Judge Dredd'. Began great, fantastic aerial shots of Mega-city One, just how I'd imagined it would be, judges outfits and bikes looked great.. and then there was Stallone. Too short, cheesy "I owe you one" dialogue and he takes his helmet off. Dredd NEVER takes his helmet off!

I was so disappointed I stopped buying all the 2000AD comics and annuals (after buying about 900 over the years). Hollywood? Pah!

Forgive me, I haven't read through the whole posting but I just wanted to add my disappointment with Bridget Jones the Edge of Reason. I watched the film and thought it was just a re-run of the first film. Then I read the book. There is so much hilarious stuff that they have missed out and they changed the order of everything - and Rebecca wasn't gay!

Very disappointing. Good book though! ;)

My disappointments usually come from criticall acclaimed films that I just don't seem to get:

Gladiator: Simple plot dragged out for a verrry long time.

Alien: Not nearly as scary as The Thing (either version) as far as I'm concerned.

Field of Dreams :-- Yawn

Superman Returns- Speechless over what a turgid melodrama this was.
