Big ups to Obama for not wanting to cancel the debates?

I 100% agree with Obama. The election is only 40 days away and with the crisis that the economy is in, the American people need to know more than ever what each candidate stands for and what they are going to for the people. McCain has been pulling out all the stunts. Like Letterman said, " is McCain going to suspend the presidency(if he is elected) we have someone in office like that already." Plus besides, congress is already working on a solution without McCains or Barack's help. So McCains playing hero just for presidential gain and for that 12 point hole he's in. If he was in such a rush to head for Washington or whatever yeaterday, look up the time he finally got there. Full of bs.

McCain is desperately trying to buy time and put off the inevitable.

What vanity to think he is SO knowledgeable about the economy (which he even admits is his weakness) that he would need to ride in to Washington on a white horse like some old (really old) cowboy and save the world.

He's clearly not going to win the presidency, so he's trying to put up a good front and act like he's above politics.

You know, all the "maverick" crap. Ho hum.

Yes.

McCain is trying to make it look as if he's going to be the one to jump in and single-handedly fix the economic crisis. This despite the facts that he said economy is not his strong suit and that he doesn't even sit on any of the relevant committees.

He is just trying to bail on the debate because his poll numbers are down. I am sure that he could find 90 minutes on Friday night to hold a debate that's been scheduled for months if there was a crisis in Washington that didn't reflect on him.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE DEBATES!!!
I CAN'T WAIT FOR NOVEMBER!!!

Obama/Biden '08!

What gets me is Bush's support in McCain wanting to cancel the debates to take care of the financial situation.
All of a sudden he's worried about people's finances. Where the hell was that concern over the past 8 years when the country's finances have been going steadily down the toilet?
All this sudden "concern" just before the election smells as funny as Bozo the Clown's corpse.

Obama didn't fall for that crap. Nothing is working for McCain anymore and he knows it, and he knows that once these debates happen, there will be no question to who should be president.
