wondering if anyone has heard of the "pr" cricket has in the works? My dad works at cricket office and has been noticed carrying notes about new plans to open in limited networks first and then comming out in a big way.When i asked him he told me he's making advetisment ideas for some "ideas" they were given.So dont wanna toot any ones horn here.. but im thinking about maybe video/tv? Or iphone killer... He said it was part product and part service but wouldnt tell me more... Any one else have ideas? also june/july was thrown in the mix
 
Best-case scenario:

--GPS-enabled hanRABet with buddy locator


Unlikely scenario but probable:

--Camera phone with Facebook-like community feature


Likely scenarios:

--Cricket-branded streaming "radio" service for ~$10/mo and a special music player phone

--OR--

--Jukebox phone with push ringtone service (i.e., send a person a ringer as you call them)


Taking all bets.

I have the feeling, however, that we will all be sadly underwhelmed. So don't be in a hurry to get your knickers in a twist.......

cricket phones are usual bland and crap .. well hd dvd lost the format war so it wouldnt surprise me if they were gonna ionclude that in thier phones...uhmmm. i reread that um forget it :lolup: :doh:
 
i have tv on my cricket phone...

all you have to do is walk to the fromt of your living room, lift the corner of the tv, and gently place your cricket phone under it...there you have it, tv on a cricket phone...

wow- that was simple!
 
my first guess... Data CarRAB. They have not launched new york yet for data carRAB, and everyone thinks it is so cool.
my second guess... anything that takes advantage of the evdo network, streaming service of some sort, either radio, or video clips,
my third guess is the email application i have previously mentioned. while i'm not claiming to know everything (or anything actually) that cricket has in the works, it would be odd if i had not at least heard of something comping up in the next 6 months.
 
wow every one thinks they are a comic.. But seriously i actually thought he was saying something good and i had the image in my head ... But i thought to myself .my tv is one the wall how can i lift it ..lol
 
probably something small. maybe they're making the internet work more than 50% of the time. :P

Maybe adding MSN or Yahoo messengers to the AIM that they already have.

i doubt cricket would introduce anything very good. but i am a pessimist so you know.

The only "New" thing I know of is that the USB card is launching May 6th in all Markets that already have CWIS. Presumably they will be launching a few more markets soon too. Most of the markets have now been reported to have EVDO up and running by other merabers here, despite that it has not "officially" launched.
