The films that Oneiric critics find most interesting are those that seem to present the imaginary as stronger and more prevalent than the starkly realistic. This is why a great deal of the film criticism focused on German-Expressionist cinema is oneiric. What particular aspect of Burton’s Big Fish would probably be most enticing to an Oneiric critic?
