Bicycle crunch movement?

While doing bicycle crunches, the joint between my pelvis and left top thigh bone doesn't seem to be rolling smoothly. I always hear kind of a click sound when I drop and extend my left leg. This doesn't happen on my right leg though. I am doing the bicycle crunch incorrectly/ have other ppl experience the same thing too. How serious is this and should I get it checked out, or will it just go away when i do more bicycle crunches?
 
If you've had some sort of injury there, it would cause a popping/cracking noise. If you've not had some sort of injury... I'm not sure. Whenever I rotate my right wrist it pops and cracks, but I've never had an injury. My doctor said if it doesn't hurt I shouldn't worry about it. I would go get it checked out though, just to be sure there isn't some sort of damage.
