Bicycle and car accident?

I was in an accident while riding my bike. I came up to a stopsign, I didn't fully stop. A car came at the same time I did, and did not put on his turn signal and cut mr off by turning left. I was hurt badly because I stupidly grabbed the front break rather than the back. I later contacted the people and we will talk about it soon. I was wanting to know if I have reason enough to file a lawsuit. I might need stitches.
 
the first person has it right. you technically have to stop at stop signs and you can't really prove that they didn't have a turn signal on. you're better off just saying you each pay for your own damages and be thankful that they didn't run you over.
 
Bikes are bound by the same laws as cars and trucks, so if you ran the stop sign or rolled through it, you are at fault and would not stand a chance to win in court. Sorry to pop your bubble.
 
if you have a plate number and witnesses sew if you do not ,than you all ready ad mi ted fault get stitched up and buy a helmet. and please pay attention . they give a license to any one that can pay for one
 
No. Don't file a lawsuit since you will likely lose if you do. You are considered a moving vehicle if you are riding on anything with wheels. You as the bicyclist should follow all road rules just as regular motor vehicles do. If you ran a stop sign and were hit by a car as a result, then it is your fault. You should have stopped just as all vehicles are required to do. Just because you are on a bicycle doesn't mean you are not required to follow traffic rules.
