This is a such a huge part of Judaic history, it's hard to summarize. They weren't treated so badly, in retrospect. The Bible says it was part of God's plan. They gained the ability to practice their faith freely and eventually King Cyrus gave them permission to return to their homeland and rebuild the temple. The books of Ezrah, Nehemiah, Daniel and Esther are important for their account of this period.

The israelites were at first considered prisoners but soon they assimilated in society and basically were involved in the community as they are today. eventually they were respected for their wisdom and their contributions to the community. when they returned to canaan later some stayed and their descendants are still there

This is the question:
How were the Israelites treated in captivity during the Babylonian Exile?
Plz give references

The same way we are treated today. Ain't nothin changed. We are still in captiviity in babalon. Nothings changed.

Gotta no who the true Israelites are. There has only been one nation of people that have been slaves and that have been brout to other nations on ships.

Deu 28:68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy [you].
